Blas

Lectures

Concept:

Lecturers from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and invited guests will offer intense engagements on a wide variety of music, song, and dance subjects, from multiple perspectives, on the ways in which ‘Tradition’ is conceived, performed, practiced, contested, and lived. This focus on ideas and discourse will weave in and around practical classes, encouraging students to be come critically engaged with their practice, and to reflect upon this very idea of what constitutes ‘Tradition’
