'Noctú´: Irish Dance Laid Bare'

Breandán de Gallaí´'s professional career as a performer began with Riverdance in Eurovision '94. This engagement concluded with his leading the company at the opening ceremony of the World Special Olympic Games in Croke Park in 2003. As Principal Dancer for 7 years, Breandán performed around the globe and has shared the stage with the principals of the Royal Ballet, Darcey Bussell and Wayne Sleep and has shared headline status with José Carreras.
He graduated from the University of Limerick with an MA in Ethnochoreology in 2009, the same year he held the position of artist in residence at the University. He is currently completing a PhD in Arts Practice at the Irish World Academy. He features regularly as a presenter on Irish television, and the dance show "Noctú´", which is Breandán's current project, is the subject of a 6-part television show which will be aired on RTÉ summer 2011.
